Richard Osman's House Of Games Guests This Week

Richard Osman's House of Games

The line-up for this week's Champions Week on Richard Osman's House of Games is Mark Chapman, Will Kirk, Amanda Lamb and Rachel Parris .

When I first came across Rachel Parris on the comedy circuit she was best known as a musical comedian. But in recent years she has added more strings to her bow, in particular becoming known as a scathing satirist thanks to her appearances on The Mash Report. During lockdown she also raised her profile by posting clips of herself and her husband Marcus Brigstocke doing pop songs at home in isolation.

Parris is due to head out soon on her biggest tour to date, entitled Poise, starting at the Bristol Old Vic on April 20. You can see all the dates here.

Poise follows her sell out shows All Change Please and It’s Fun To Pretend. This new offering is Rachel at her best; a dazzling hour of her signature blend of stand-up and songs. As a comedian and musician Rachel is able to both entertain and engage with her audiences and touches on some of life's most personal and emotional moments but expressed with lightness, occasional acidity and often a catchy refrain!

Mneahwile she will be showing off her brainy skills on House Of Games alongside Mark Chapman, Will Kirk, Amanda Lamb. Mark Chapman (not to be confused with the man who shot John Lennon) is a BBC sports presenter perhaps best known for his rugby league coverage. Will Kirk is a furniture restorer known for his work on BBC's restoration programme The Repair Shop. And Amanda Lamb is a familiar face in the world of property programmes, one of a number of lucky presenters who have been able to travel to sunny resorts home hunting in A Place In The Sun.

Comedians have a superb track record on Richard Osman's House of Games. Glenn Moore and Sophie Duker are among the recent winners. Will Parris keep up that tradition? Tune in and find out...
