Comedian Chris McCausland is set to front ITV1's Saturday morning breakfast slot.
He posted the news on the social media site X, formerly known as Twitter: "I am delighted to announce that I will be taking over the @ITV Saturday morning breakfast slot for 11 weeks over the summer. I am really excited about this, although I can't do autocue and I don't know where the cameras are - What can possibly go wrong."
McCausland's career has taken off in the last couple of years. He has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News for You, Blankety Blank, Would I Lie to You? and QI. He has also fronted his own TV series, Wonders Of The World I Can’t See, and hosted his own radio show, You Heard It Here First. He was recently seen on the new Comedy Central comedy Out of Order.
He will also be touring with his latest show Yonks! for much of 2024 and into 2025. For dates and ticket details click here. And read this interview here.
