Picturehouse Cinemas is to celebrate the history of The Comic Strip Presents, the series of short films which helped launch some of the biggest names in comedy: Robbie Coltrane, Rik Mayall, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Nigel Planer, Ade Edmondson and Peter Richardson.
A Q&A tour of cinemas across the country begins Saturday 23 March, kicking off at our flagship Picturehouse Central, where we’ll be joined by Peter Richardson, Stephen Mangan and Jennifer Saunders along with host Richard Herring.
This tour offers two different programmes each night. The Best of Comic Strip will provide a showcase for the best-loved Comic Strip films, alongside live conversations and special surprise guests, while the second programme includes a rotating double-bill of two brilliant films from their archive, sandwiched between a live Q&A with The Comic Strip founder Peter Richardson, alongside special guest stars from the films and well-known fans of the series in the hosting spot.
