Transmission Date for Chloe Petts Radio Show

ARGComFest Returns With A Must-See Line-Up

Rising star Chloe Petts (Have I Got News For YouHannah Gadsby’s Gender Agenda, Richard Osman's House of Games) presents a new five-part stand-up series for BBC Radio 4, Chloe Petts’ Toilet Humour, debuting on Wednesday 5th June.

With a special appearance by award-winning comedian Ed Gamble (Off Menu) as the ghost of Sir Thomas Crapper, Chloe’s debut radio series explores the history of the loo and how we relate to one another within them. Starting in the latrines of Ancient Rome passing through to whatever George Michael was getting up to in the 1990s,  Chloe Petts explores the history of the loo to the culture wars of today.

Chloe is one of the most exciting names in comedy. On television, this year alone saw Chloe debut on Have I Got News For You (BBC) in May, having starred in Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda (Netflix), a multi-comic special featuring seven global genderqueer comics in March. As a live performer, for the past two years Chloe has been recommended as one of the top comedy shows to see at the Edinburgh Fringe by multiple titles including The Guardian, The Times, Evening Standard and Time Out, and will be bringing a brand-new show, How You See Me, How You Don’t, to this year’s Fringe before embarking on a nationwide tour early next year. Chloe is also co-founder of The LOL Word, an all women and non-binary queer comedy collective “transforming comedy” (The Guardian), has supported Ed Gamble’s 2022 and 2024 UK tours, Frank Skinner’s 2023 West End run and 2024 UK tour, as well as being selected to perform at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the past two years.

Written by and starring Chloe Petts with additional material and direction by Adam Drake, Chloe Petts’ Toilet Humour is an Avalon production. Executive Producers are Rob Aslett, Jon Thoday and Richard Allen Turner for Avalon. Produced by Daisy Knight.

Crystal Palace supporter Petts is also performing at the Edinburgh Fringe and then touring. Details here.

Chloe Petts’ Toilet Humour first airs on Wednesday 5th June at 11.15pm on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds.
