Geoff Norcott will examine modern masculinity in a new four-part stand-up series for Radio 4, Geoff Norcott's Working Men's Club. By creating the safe space of a working men’s club so he can speak freely about the problems men are facing and how we might go about fixing them in a way that benefits everyone.
In episode one, Geoff looks at the sometimes problematic phrase “man up". Is it sexist, or is it just shorthand for taking some responsibility for the greater benefit? With the help of special guests Jacob Hawley and Kenny Mammarella-D’Cruz, as well as the studio audience, Geoff looks at language men need to change.
Geoff Norcott's Working Men's Club starts on Radio 4 on 10th July at 6.30pm.
