The highly anticipated eighteenth series of BAFTA and National Comedy Award winning Taskmaster is set to return at 9pm, Thursday 12th September on Channel 4.

The next batch of bright-eyed hopefuls vying to pass muster and be the best are: comedian, host of The Bugle Podcast and cricket statistician Andy Zaltzman (The News Quiz, BBC Radio 4), comedian, actor and podcaster Babatunde Aléshé (Celebrity Gogglebox, C4), actor, comedian and writer Emma Sidi (Starstruck, BBC Three/HBO Max), legendary stand-up and writer Jack Dee (I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue, BBC Radio 4), and stand-up, presenter, actor and author Rosie Jones (Trip Hazard, C4). This group have all agreed to attempt a series of Tasks that will test their wits, their reasoning, their problem-solving and whether or not they can locate hidden rockets under pressure. The Taskmaster will judge their efforts with his customary merciless precision, and will eventually award one his coveted golden head.

Elsewhere, Taskmaster: The Live Experience is set to launch on 2nd October. The brand-new interactive adventure allows fans to step into the shoes of their favourite comedians and enter the world of Taskmaster. Based on the BAFTA and National Comedy Award winning hit TV show, brand-new ridiculous and infuriating tasks set in the lab, living room, shed and other recognisable locations will get contestants battling for points, culminating in a final task in the studio theatre where one player will win the Taskmaster’s seal of approval.
