Comedian Poppy Hillstead, the host of ‘Poppy Hillstead Has Entered The Chat, has a new podcast.

In ‘Brainwash Me with Poppy Hilllstead’ Poppy will be nattering to a guest with a niche interest, odd passion, festish or full-on obsession, to see if they can Brainwash her into joining their way of life.

How do we know if the guests are successful? Well, Poppy’s hooked up to a brain scanner. Of course.

Throughout each episode, her state of the art scanner carefully measures her brain activity. If the guests manage to peak her brainwaves, then they have successfully ‘brainwashed’ her.

Poppy said: ‘Guests have 40 mins to convince me, and if they manage to peak my brain waves, then I’m officially into it - whether I like it or not.’

Attempting to brainwash Poppy in this upcoming series will be the likes of nudists, wrestlers, chess enthusiasts, dominatrix trainers, plus comedians Hannah George (Drunk Women Solving Crime), Mark Silcox, George Egg, and Tom Lawrinson.

In a trailer for the show, Poppy can be seen being caught in a wrestling lift, making interesting use of a green screen in each episode, and trying poppers for the first time with somebody in Teletubbies drag.

“It’s fair to say you’ll see some things you haven’t seen before”, Hillstead adds.

It is produced by Little Wander - the team behind Machynlleth Comedy Festival and podcasts such as Who Are You Wearing with Kiri Pritchard-McLean & Richard and Greta with Nina Conti and Shenoah Allen.
