Matt Berry Does…

Straight off the back of his Lone Wolf and Wild Love comedy shorts for BBC iPlayer, Matt Berry kicks off his brand new topical comedy series Matt Berry Does… on BBC iPlayer by taking on the human world – starting with an anthropologic look at the Oxford/Cambridge boat race in Matt Berry Does… The Boat Race. Expect more from Berry’s brilliantly unbridled voice overs across the year on iPlayer, as this is the first of six shorts in the series.

Matt Berry’s Boat Race will be available on BBC iPlayer on the 5 April at 9pm

Frankie Boyle’s Election Autopsy

Frankie Boyle takes centre stage in his Election Autopsy - a comedy special made exclusively for BBC iPlayer.

Recorded in front of a passionate crowd in London’s historic Wilton’s Music Hall, the show features Frankie at his brilliant best doing stand-up, review, discussion and audience interaction - all in an attempt to make sense of the recent general election.

Throughout the show, Frankie makes a series of bold and often outrageous statements about the vote. He’s joined by a range of guests including comics and experts, who are on hand to take him to task over his claims – before the audience decide whether he’s right or wrong.

Frankie Boyle’s Election Autopsy will be available on BBC iPlayer on the 17 May at 9pm

Grayson Perry at Turner Contemporary: Jo Brand’s Private View

Grayson Perry is now one of Britain’s best loved living artists; famous for his wry social commentary on class, taste and the 'art world' itself. On 23 May a major new exhibition of his work with open at the Turner Contemporary in Margate and comedian Jo Brand will be given exclusive access to make a ‘Private View’ film for iPlayer.

Just like Grayson, Jo has built her career around making shrewd and radical observations on contemporary society. In this film she will take the viewer on a deeply personal and fantastically witty tour around the famous pots, prints, tapestries and sculptures of an artist she hugely admires.

Available on BBC iPlayer on the 23 May at 9pm.

Private View is an iPlayer exclusive strand which opens the doors to the public on blockbuster art exhibitions across the UK to bring these to widest possible audience. They mark an important collaboration with British arts institutions.

Later in 2015, BBC iPlayer will collaborate with Tate Liverpool to bring a Private View of influential abstract expressionist painter Jackson Pollock. Host tbc.
