BBC To Air US Version Of Have I Got News For You
The BBC has acquired CNN’s new American version of ‘Have I Got News For You’.
 
As the American election heats up, CNN's new 10-part series 'Have I Got News For You US’ takes a weekly look at the US news coverage. 
 
Produced by Hat Trick Productions for CNN Originals, its premiere episode was filmed in New York last week (on Friday 13th September), and first aired on CNN on Saturday 14th September.
 
The BBC can now confirm that ‘Have I Got News For You US’ will air on BBC Two, with its premiere episode airing on the channel tonight (Wednesday 18th September) at 11.05pm. Each of the ten episodes will air weekly on BBC Two and will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
 
In this new American version of the long running BBC satirical entertainment show, the host is Roy Wood Jr., comedian, Emmy-nominated documentary producer and correspondent for The Daily Show from 2015 – 2023. The team captains are Amber Ruffin and Michael Ian Black.
 
The panellists for episode 1 are comedian Robin Thede and journalist Matt Welch.
 
Executive Producers are Jimmy Mulville, Richard Wilson and Jim Biederman.
 
The BBC has today also confirmed that the 68th series of the UK original Have I Got News For You will air on BBC One from Friday 4th October.
 
Helen Lewis, staff writer at The Atlantic, will join on the panel for episode 1 of S68, with the guest host to be announced.
