Comedian Janey Godley is receiving end-of-life care following the spread of her cancer.
The 63-year-old Glaswegian comedian posted on social media that she was receiving receiving palliative care in hospital and is going into a hospice "for the foreseeable".
She said in a video message: "The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn't take any more of it and the cancer has spread. It's really difficult to speak about this but I want to thank every...right down to the woman who holds my hand and makes my tea". It is devastating news to know that I'm facing end of life - but we all come to an end sometime. I want to thank everybody for supporting my family especially Ashley and my husband. The overwhelming support has been amazing and I don't know how long I've got left, before anybody asks. I'm not a TikTok. I hope you'll all have a lovely Christmas...thanks everybody for all your love, and know that I really, really appreciate the outpouring of love and the support that you've gave me and even the ones that hate me..."
Godley announced last week that she was cancelling her autumn tour due to her cancer spreading and medical advice.
