New Weirdos Halloween Show - QANON vs Dracula

In the Halloween week before the US Election, award-winning comedy collective Weirdos Comedy are staging a three-night run of their new comedy play QANON vs Dracula about conspiracy theories and vampires with an all star cast of odd-ball alternative comics.

This show will be the third Weirdos Halloween show to run at the Museum of Comedy in Holborn following sell-out shows in 2021 and 2022. The play, penned by Weirdos founder Adam Larter, is a retelling of the classic Dracula tale taking place in modern day America where right-wing conspiracy theorists are trying to take down the fanged menace.

QANON is/was a conspiracy theory which started on ultra-libertarian site 8Chan and claims that the Democrat government, Hollywood Celebrities and the mainstream media are collectively running an underground satanic pedofile ring which only Donald Trump can stop. This belief has support from a large proportion of the American public, Rosanne Barr and several UK Stand Up comedians (yes, really).

A stage show with a large sprawling cast of London’s finest alternative comedy talent from TV’s Bec Hill, internet sensation Matthew Highton, to Leicester Square New Comedian Sam Nicoresti and left-field clowns like Michael Brunström and Charlie Vero Martin. With an almost cult-like following and a knack for “making us laugh at very strange things” (The Independent), this show will be a charming Halloween night out where the audience are encouraged to dress up, join in and of course - take down the deep state.

Will you journey down the rabbit hole with them?

Adam Larter says: “As the UK comedy scene seems to be totally chill with some of the mad conspiracy theories that dot around whether that is anti-vax, anti-trans, anti-semitic or the usual misogyny and dog-whistle racism it seems a fun time to turn all this terrifying rhetoric into a classic, poorly rehearsed comedy play for this year’s big Halloween / US Election fest. In this play only the true patriots of the US are aware that a terrifying blood drinking cabal is lurking in the shadows. Classic stuff. ”

In the past Weirdos have delivered cardboard feminist mermaids, Phil Collins growing out of Donald Trump’s back and everyone’s favourite, the Dorito fish, which has seen them included as a ‘Top Christmas Show’ to see in The Guardian (2014/15), The Independent (2014/15) and The Times (2015). 2015’s offering, Weirdos for Christmas Number 1, also featured as the last physical comedy feature article in Time Out London, which is a legacy in itself.
