The Globe is delighted to welcome back The Comedy Store Players for a one-off festive event on Tuesday 17 December. The legendary improv troupe are back at the Globe for the 24th time.
Expect their rambunctious brand of improvised sketches, songs and trademark ‘Shakespeare playlet’ – which in the past has included hits such as Two Gentlemen of Vauxhall, Titus Androgynous, Much Ado About Muffins, and Omelette (very loosely based on Hamlet). Watch as 40-years of world-class spontaneous silliness unfolds at the Globe this winter, all from audience suggestions.
Performers for this event include Ruth Bratt, Steve Edis, Monica Gaga, Josie Lawrence, Neil Mullarkey, Lee Simpson, and Richard Vranch.
Josie Lawrence says: “It is a complete joy to be playing Shakespeare’s Globe at this magical time of year. It’s astonishing and wonderful how brilliantly improv comedy works in that space and it is always a fantastic night.”
Suitable for everyone aged 14+. Run time is approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes including an interval.
Globe Theatre, SE1, December 17 at 7pm. Tickets start from £10. Buy tickets here.
