Following a run at the Edinburgh Fringe, comedian Amy Annette is bringing her debut hour, Thick Skin, to Soho Theatre this January. This London run marks a key stop ahead of her UK tour, kicking off in May. Tickets are on sale now and are available from the venue’s websites.
Press and audiences alike are invited to experience the charm, wit, and humour that have earned Amy rave reviews and endorsements from the likes of Suzi Ruffell, Aisling Bea, Lous Sanders, and Rose Matafeo.
Thick Skin is a nostalgic but sharp-edged dive into the chaos that was the 2000s. Amy takes audiences on a hilarious journey through body image trauma, questionable fashion choices (we see you, ballet flats), and cringe-worthy teenage memories of being in love with (David Suchet’s) Hercule Poirot. Whether you remember the era of Trinny and Susannah, or are just discovering what it means to survive the worst of the 00s (with the return of Y2K trends in 2025), this show is packed with Amy’s signature warmth, feminist edge, and big laughs.

THICK SKIN is a show about surviving the 00s, with tips and tricks for the brave younger generations facing down a new decade of boho skirts and pointless belts.
