Being loud, brazen and a little bit lairy was all Matt needed to propel himself onto the comedy circuit aged 18 and be presenting national telly by 22. But faster than you can say ‘Celebrity Coach Trip’ he suddenly finds himself in his 30s, so what’s next for the lad?
Matt has moved to the countryside, settled down, and is trying his hardest to not make rude jokes. It’s not going as well as he’d hoped...
Attempting to navigate a world of mate’s kids, mortgages and village life is proving a challenge for the guy who can't resist causing a scene. How do you age with grace and dignity when it’s at odds with all the personality traits that got you this far?
Alongside being a multi-award winning comedian and stalwart of the UK comedy circuit, Matt is a seasoned TV host, having presented shows such as The Hangover Games (E4) and The Red Bull Soapbox Race (Dave), Celebrity Haunted Mansion and Celebrity Haunted Hotel (W) alongside Christine Lampard, and helming the spin off shows for both alone. He has also hosted two different ITV2 Documentaries – Pampered Pooches: Hollywood and Meet The Family Guys, both filmed in LA, and helmed Just Tattoo Of Us: The Aftermath for MTV. His first ever presenting gig was hosting The Xtra Factor (ITV2) in 2013 alongside Caroline Flack.
Matt was the host of Virgin Radio’s Drive Time Show for three years before leaving to focus on comedy. He co-hosted the hit comedy podcast When No One’s Watching, with Matt Willis of Busted which had guests including; Keith Lemon, Tom Fletcher, Darren Harriott and Emma Willis.
As well as all the presenting he has appeared on countless other TV shows, including Comedy Game Night, Roast Battle & Drunk History (Comedy Central), Nevermind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Celebrity Juice, CelebAbility, The Stand Up Sketch Show series 2 & 3, Hey Tracey, The Chase: Celebrity Christmas Special, The Chris Ramsey Show, Top Gear: Extra Gear, Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), and pretty much any spin-off show you can name...
