50 Hour Improvathon Returns

50 Hour Improvathon Returns

Showstopper Productions in association with Something For The Weekend are delighted to announce the 15th year of The London 50 Hour Improvathon from 4th – 6th April at Pleasance London. This unique event that is mooted as Moulin Rouge meets The Greatest Showman will bedazzle any attendees and is the ultimate ‘you had to be there’ London live spectacular!

Director Adam Meggido says ‘We are thrilled to be taking the Improvathon to Pleasance London, the perfect setting for a weekend of cabaret and Victoriana! It’s like bingeing your favourite Netflix show for a whole weekend – but LIVE!!!’

The 50-hour completely improvised comedy soap opera in 25 hilarious episodes, kicks off at 7pm on Friday and plays continuously until 9pm on Sunday (yes, right through the nights!) with a live band and refreshments available throughout. There’s even a special ‘Family Episode’ at 11am on Sunday, suitable for kids of all ages!

You can watch any one standalone episode - starting every 2 hours - or stay for more. Those who watch the whole event describe it as life-changing!

Welcome to Gay Paree! Artistes and acts from all over the world gather to play at Paris’ most notorious club, packed to the rafters with a roaring crowd of dignitaries and degenerates. But who is the club’s mysterious owner? What’s the latest backstage gossip and scandal? Which of the city’s finest will be in tonight’s audience? And who will win the title of ‘The Greatest Show on Earth’?

Featuring stars of Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and Tony Award-winning Mischief alongside comedians, performers, up-and-comers and international guests throughout the weekend. The performers become increasingly sleep-deprived; they behave with a wild freedom you won't see anywhere else! Last year saw Rufus Hound perform and he proposed to his now fiancée Sally Hodgkiss live on stage! So, anything can happen! Stay tuned for the full line-up, to be announced in 2025.

Starting Friday 4TH @ 7pm – Ending Sunday 6TH APRIL @ 9pm 2025 at The Pleasance, London. Tickets here.
