Hal Cruttenden is to play Winston Churchill in the forthcoming film The Man with the Plan.

 

The film will be produced by Sands Film and written and directed by Oscar nominee Christine Edzard. It also stars actor Simon Callow.

 

The Man with the Plan is about politician William Beveridge and his vision for The Welfare State.

 

Hal, who will be touring his new stand up show Can Dish It Out But Can’t Take It, later this year, said this could be ‘my finest hour’ and he vowed to “Fight hecklers and reviewers on the beaches, in the clubs and online.”

 

Christine Edzard's work also includes the acclaimed Charles Dickens screen adaptation Little Dorritt.
