A gofundme page has been set up for Irish comedian and illustrator Robbie Bonham, who died this week.
So far it has raised €10,930. Having easily exceeded the original target of €6K, the current target is €16K.
Bonham passed away on January 21 in Dublin.
The page says that "the fundraiser is to show love and gratitude with the blessing of Robbie's family and is a way to give back for all the laughs, joy, and light that Robbie brought into their lives.
Comedians and fans belong to a tight-knit community that feel touched by humor to come together and contribute to the send off of Robbie Bonham and to show love and support for Robbie and respect to the Bonham family."
Any money left over will be donated to the Simon Community courtesy of the Bonham family.
Tony Ferns - Battle of the Axe Comedy Club set up the fund after comedian Keith Farnan suggested it.
