Rob Beckett’s Smart TV Returns And Gets A Podcast Spin-Off With Alison Hammond (and Matt Crosby – Not Pictured)

Smart TV with Alison Hammond – a brand-new spinoff podcast to Rob Beckett’s Smart TV television series – will launch on Wednesday 5 February, ahead of the series returning to screens later this year.

In each episode, Alison Hammond, along with comedian, radio host and TV know-it-all Matt Crosby, will sit down with household names to hear about their perfect night in front of the television Alison decides whether she’d be willing to join them – will the night excite her? Will they provide the right snacks? Alison isn’t afraid to hurt their feelings as she gives a verdict on their night. One they might not always be very happy with.

Alison Hammond, said: “I am absolutely BUZZING to share my brand-new podcast, Smart TV! I’m teaming up with the brilliant Matt Crosby to chat all things telly—drama, reality, and everything in between! And we’re kicking off in style with the legendary Richard E. Grant as our first guest. Expect laughs, gossip, and top-tier telly chat—it’s going to be amazing babs!”

With 21 episodes in total across 10 weeks, and two episodes dropping weekly, celebrity guests include some of the most recognised and celebrated names across television kicking off with Richard E Grant, as well as Olivia Attwood, Prue Leith, Kathy Burke, Richard Armitage, Oti Mabuse, Rob Beckett and Dermot O’Leary.

The podcast will deliver an intimate and warm trip down memory lane and an exciting exploration of the TV making waves today. Along the way, Alison will scrutinise and debate the celebrity guests’ choices – and decide if their perfect night of telly is worth staying in for.
