Comedian Iain Stirling has said that he will do a gig topless if he can fill half the venue.

The Scottish stand-up was chatting to Chris Moyles on his Radio X show when Moyles talked him about his upcoming tour and asked: “Where are you not as popular?”

“Oxford," replied the narrator of Love Island. “Oh my God. It sold terribly last year. I don't know why I've gone back this year. I'm talking like 20 per cent sold or something mental. it's never gone well there, and it's quite a big room as well, so it makes it kind of weird. It looks like I'm hosting like a local town meeting.”

Moyles helped out by giving the gig a plug: “However, it's all about Tuesday the 25th of March. Yes, go and see Iain and Oxford, and he will give you 110 per cent.”

The comic and husband of Laura Whitmore rose to the offer. "I’ll do it na- say if it’s over 50 per cent sold, I’ll do it topless...I was going to say naked, but it just sounds a bit… It’s too early in the morning for that sort of get on. I’m quietly confident I won’t have to worry about that.”

 “Well, if you just said naked, I would have bought all the tickets,” joked Moyles.
