Sky Arts To Air Doc On Douglas Adams

Sky Arts To Air Doc On Douglas Adams

Douglas Adams: The Man Who Imagined Our Future profiles the author of 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' and goes deeper into his wide-ranging career.

We’re on a playful journey with Douglas Adams - diving into the broad questions of life, the universe and everything at a time when we are all asking questions of ourselves and our place on Earth - and our fear of destroying it. Campaigning for endangered species and the coming storm of climate change, he was years ahead of his time.

Optimistic about the infinite possibilities that computers will bring, obsessing with the art of writing, while exploring parallel dimensions and artificial intelligence, his philosophy and ideas are meaningful, and visionary.

Enter the mind and universe of Douglas Adams in this new documentary for Sky Arts, featuring interviews with family and friends including Stephen Fry, Griff Rhys Jones, Mary Allen, Jon Canter, John Lloyd, Robin Ince and Mark Carwardine.

A Bohemia Films Production directed by Todd Austin. The Executive Producers are Min Clough and Jack Oliver.

Douglas Adams: The Man Who Imagined Our Future coming to Sky Arts, Freeview and NOW on 27 March at 8pm
