Madeleine wins £100 and a paid spot with Rural Roars Comedy, Emma and Judy each received £70 while Philippa found herself £50 better off for being the crowd favourite. All acts will be offered some Edinburgh Fringe stage time at the West End New Act of the Year Showcase Show.
The competition is the latest show to be housed under the West End New Act of the Year banner. It was launched in June with well over 100 applicants vying for a spot. Stacey Edwards and Dora Flowers compered and organised the whole run.
The Judges on the night were Clara Heimerdinger from Nice and Spiky Comedy and West End New Act of the Year founder Steve McLean who was judging on behalf of the promoters Rural Roars Comedy, for whom he is the resident MC.
Jenny Collier headlined the show and entertained the crowd while the votes were counted.
MC Dora said "Every act that made it to the final was worthy of their place, every heat was packed with talented and hilarious women! Individual and innovative comedy - it was a cracking competition and very tough for everyone involved in the judging"
The next WENAOTY show will take place in October with applications opening in September.
