Taskmaster comedians Phil Ellis and Anna Thomas (winner of the BBC New Comedy Award) are joining forces for Early Worms, a brand-new weekly podcast. Created for fans of big laughs, offbeat chat and the chaotic warmth of early-morning breakfast shows, Early Worms promises to bring a fresh twist to the world of comedy podcasting.
Early Worms with Phil Ellis and Anna Thomas will be released on Friday 17th October and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever you get your podcasts. Cassette? Hopefully one day soon! Listeners can also subscribe now so they don’t miss a single episode.
Phil said, “Can’t wait to bring people into our shared breakdown. I think people are really going to enjoy two mates just talking about whatever pops into their heads, which I believe is uncharted territory for podcasting.”
Anna said, “It’s an absolute dream to be making a podcast with such a lovely flock of people. Can’t wait to make more and for everyone to plop our horrible little chats into their lovely little ears.”
Early Worms is produced by A Lovely Time Productions, a Manchester-based production company founded by John Stansfield and Chris Cantrill. This is their third podcast, following the agricultural comedy hit Rural Concerns, and the short lived but much loved A Lovely Time with Amy Gledhill.
