Rebekah Staton, who played maverick mum Della in Raised by Wolves, co-stars in a new Radio 4 sitcom called The Lentil Sorters with Vincent Franklin, who played PR guru Stewart Pearson in The Thick of It.
The new comedy is set in the Office of Local National Statistics - nicknamed The Lentil Sorters- which, depending on who you ask, is either where the real power of government resides or it's the place where fun goes to die. Stats-obsessed Graham (Vincent Franklin) has two assistants, the socially-driven Audrey (Rebekah Staton), who wants to use statistics for good and ex-banker Daniel (Kieran Hodgson) who prefers to sell statistics to outside polling firms and then take the afternoon off.
It also features Julia Deakin – best known as landlady Marsha in Spaced – as tealady Mrs Wilkins, who really has the run of the place and runs rings round the others.
The show comes from Pozzitive, producers of Cabin Pressure, Thanks a Lot, Milton Jones!, Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation, The Brig Society, The Castle, Armando Iannucci's Charm Offensive and Kevin Eldon Will See You Now...
