Fresh off the success of her critically acclaimed show ‘Slinky’ (Winner of Best Show at the Women in Comedy Festival and twice nominated for Best International Debut at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival) multi award-winning comedy star Laura Lexx is back with her new show Yo-Yo. 

Following her debut on Live at The Apollo, Laura has cemented her reputation as one of the most sought after headliners on the comedy circuit. Renowned for her razor sharp wit and off the cuff audience interaction. Her infamous heckler takedown clips have gone viral worldwide, generating international news coverage and racking up millions of views.

Laura has delivered multiple critically acclaimed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her breakout hour ‘Trying’ and its follow-up ‘Knee Jerk’ both had sell-out runs, earning a host of five-star reviews and being shortlisted among the ‘Top 30 Best-Reviewed Comedy Shows’ at the Fringe. In 2025 following a six year hiatus, Laura returned to the fringe with her acclaimed tour show ‘Slinky’ and garnered herself a 2025 Edinburgh ISH Award nomination for Best Show.

Laura’s debut novel Pivot (2020) received rave reviews from critics and readers alike. Laura’s second book Klopp Actually (2022) cgrew out of her hugely popular Twitter thread imagining married life with Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.

In 2024, Laura toured her show ‘Slinky’ to sold-out audiences across the UK, receiving rave reviews. The show won ‘Best Show’ at the Women in Comedy Festival and earned a four-star write-up in The Scotsman. 

Laura was then invited to bring Slinky to Auckland and Wellington as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, where she earned a dual nomination for Best International Show (Auckland & Wellington) She made her Southern Hemisphere television debut on the prestigious Best Foods Comedy Gala before a 2,000-strong opening-night crowd. She also appeared as a panellist on 7 Days, alongside New Zealand comedy favourites Jeremy Corbett and Ben Hurley.
