Multi-award-winning duo Flo & Joan, aka Nicola and Rosie Dempsey, will hit the road once more with their brand-new show ‘With Feeling’. The acclaimed double act are set to perform across the UK with over 50 dates of their latest merging of music and comedy.
The time has come for Flo & Joan to write another show description as they make their highly anticipated return to the stage with a brand-new show. The pair will try and take up as much of the stage and as little of your patience as possible as they use another "real band's" setlist to write their own show - ruminating on themes such as ‘what is music?’, ‘how do you be a band?’, and ‘is comedy?’ in the sharp-tongued, deadpan way they have become accustomed to.
On stage, the pair recently stormed the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne Fringe, and the West End with their debut musical One Man Musical; a one-act biographical comedy musical which they created and performed, starring George Fouracres (Hamlet in Hamlet at Shakespeare’s Globe, London) and directed by Georgie Staight (Operation Mincemeat). Originating at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, the show transferred to London and Australia, and went on to pick up multiple accolades including #1 Comedy Show of 2024 in The Guardian, Best Show of 2024 at the Chortle Awards, was nominated for Most Outstanding Show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2025 and a Stage Debut Award 2025 for Best Composer, Lyricist or Book Writer.
Regular faces on television, they have performed on Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV 1), Comic Relief's Red Nose Day Live 2023 (BBC One), and their own comedy special 'Alive on Stage' for Amazon Prime which is now streaming in over 200 countries across the world, while their songs regularly go viral online with over 100 million views across social media.
A hugely acclaimed live act, Flo & Joan’s latest comedy show Sweet Release was their fifth full-length show. Totalling 148 performances, the tour was twice-extended to meet phenomenal demand for tickets, included runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and has been recorded as a special at the Royal Court Theatre in London. They have enjoyed numerous festival appearances at Glastonbury, Latitude, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and JFL Montreal Comedy Festival.
As writers, the pair have previously written songs for the West End musical Death Drop, and written and performed songs for Evil (CBS/Paramount Plus), BBC Digital, Question Team (C4), Aardman, Horrible Histories (CBBC), Radio Times, Mark Watson Talks a Bit About Life, The Now Show and Fresh From the Fringe (all BBC Radio 4) and This Hour Has 22 Minutes (Canadian Broadcasting Company).
Tickets go on sale on Friday 5th December, with a fan pre-sale from Wednesday 3rd December, and can be purchased at FloandJoan.com.
