TV: Michael McIntyre's The Wheel

Lots of top quality comedy talent on Michael McIntyre's The Wheel this week.

Chris McCausland is astill riding high and going from strength to strength following his win on Strictly Come Dancing last year. He has appeared on Have I Got News for YouWould I Lie to You?QIThe Last Leg, and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Live at the Apollo and when not on TV he is still busy on tour with his show Yonks! The title comes from the fact that fans think he is an overnight success whereas actually the blind Liverpool comedian had been doing stand-up for well over a. decade because television stardom came along. Also on the show tonight is Judi Love, who really has become a TV superstar in recent years and a familiar face on lots of shows. She's smart, funny and works really hard. She is also going out on tour in 2026 with her new show, All About The Love, if you want to see her in the flesh. She says: "Heading out on the road again brings me so much joy! I love being involved in all areas of entertainment, but my first love will always be stand-up comedy.” Details here.

And then there's the hardest working comic in showbiz – apart from Romesh Ranganathan, maybe – Jason Manford, who is currently squeezing in a panto season but is also a TV regular and someome whose tour, A Manford All Seasons seems to go on forever. He recently revealed how he had problems in his hotel bathroom while on the road.

The comedian/actor/singer posted on social media a video showing that having run his bath the soap dispensers were fixed to the wall to avoid guests stealing them and out of reach of the tub, meaning that he could not squirt the lather straight into the water. Instead he had to gather some up in his hands to gets the desired bubbles. "Fuming! Stupid hotel problems! What minor first world problem gets your blood boiling?" he posted. And that's not all. There's also Ellie Taylor who fans of satirical show The Mash Report will remember as one of the co-hosts.

Also on this week's show are  George Clarke, Kelly Cates and Tony Bellew.
