Bill Bailey, Meera Syal and Matt Lucas are among the recipients of honours in the New Year's Honours List.

Bailey, actor Sally Lindsay and children's TV star Paul Chuckle receive MBEs while Davis and Lucas receive OBEs and Meers Syal becomes a Dame, being recognised for her contribution to drama, literature and charity.

Richard Osman also bags an OBE. 

Last of the Summer Wine writer Roy Clarke becomes a Sir at 95.

Warwick Davis said of his OBE: "This is the best thing that's ever happened to me - and I've been in Star Wars."
