The Comedian’s Comedian Podcast with Stuart Goldsmith celebrates the milestone of 500 episodes – the 500th edition features US comic/musician Reggie Watts.
Launched in March 2012, the show delves into the minds of the funniest comedians in the world, asking them in depth about how they do it, and how they cope with the challenges of a creative life. Previous guests include Dara Ó Briain, Bill Burr, Sindhu Vee, Sarah Millican and Patton Oswalt.
The 500th episode itself features an in-depth interview with Reggie Watts, recorded ahead of his headline London shows at Soho Theatre Walthamstow, The episode releases on all podcast platforms this Thursday (29th January) and includes Reggie on:
-
how television struggles with translating improvisation comedy to the screen
-
creating his The Late Late Show with James Corden role on his own terms
-
the frustration with being underused on Comedy Bang! Bang!
-
why no two Reggie Watts shows are ever the same
-
and how smaller teams make braver work
This year will see returning favourites to the show including Rhod Gilbert, Sara Pascoe, James Acaster, Fern Brady and Nish Kumar, as well as Hollywood’s Brett Goldstein who has guaranteed to return 100% no takebacks (maybe).
