Comedian and host of CNN's US version of Have I Got News For You Roy Wood Jr will be crossing the Atlantic once again to host the first episode of the brand-new 71st series of the British original. It's his  third appearance on the UK format.

 

The episode will air on Friday 3rd April, available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 9pm.

 

Satirist and writer Armando Iannucci has been confirmed as a panellist, his 11th time on the show.

 

Journalist and US editor of Channel 4 News Anushka Asthana completes the panels, her second time appearing on the programme.

 

And Ian Hislop and Paul Merton will be in their usual seats.
