Rob Beckett Stand Up Show To Air On Sky

Rob Beckett's hit touring show Giraffe is to air on Sky on Good Friday, premiering on Sky One, repeating on Saturday 4th and Wednesday 8th April.

Rob's  tour started in 2024, culminating in nine shows at the London Palladium and selling over 200,000 tickets at 144 venues. Read our review here.

Beckett burst onto the comedy circuit 17 years ago and hasn’t looked back since. Star of the chart-topping podcast Parenting Hell and Sky’s Rob And Romesh Vs,  Rob took Giraffe everywhere, from Bromley to Brisbane, ensuring his audiences laughed and forget about their problems for a couple of hours.

He says: ‘Stand up comedy is the thing I love most in the world. From watching all the greats on vhs and dvd as a kid through to doing my first stand up gig 17 years ago. Since then, I've become obsessed with getting better and better at it. This show Giraffe is a culmination of all that hard work. It's the funniest and most honest show I have ever done. I just hope the people that watch it enjoy it as much as I enjoyed performing it. Cos I f***ing loved it.’

As well as Sky’s hit Rob And Romesh Vs, which he does with best mate Romesh Ranganathan, the pair have also co-hosted The Royal Variety Performance – the first time two comedians had hosted the event together in over 30 years – and The BAFTA TV Awards in 2023 and 2024.

Rob can also be heard alongside Josh Widdicombe hosting Parenting Hell, interviewing fellow parents on their successes (or most likely failures) at parenting. With over 500 million downloads, guests have included George Foreman, Kerry Godliman, Jack Dee, Katherine Ryan and Jonathan Ross among others. In 2023, the podcast hit the road on the Parenting Hell Live Arena Tour, playing sold out arenas. The pair even co-wrote the Sunday Times Bestselling book, Parenting Hell, a first-hand account of the challenges and chaos of their parenting journeys.

This wasn’t the first Sunday Times Bestselling book for Rob. 2021 saw him pen A Class Act, his account of being working class in the middle-class world of television and comedy. At work he’s the Cockney geezer, but to his mates down the pub in south-east London, he’s the theatrical one – a media luvvy. Even his wife and kids are posher than him!

Rob can soon be seen hosting C4’s Tempting Fortune and he continues to be the voice of C4’s Celebs Go Dating.

Rob’s relatable and honest approach to comedy has also seen him host Children In Need and Comic Relief. Other TV shows include Prime’s Last One Laughing and multiple appearances on BBC’s Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, Sky’s A League Of Their Own, QI, C4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, ITV’s The Jonathan Ross show and C4’s Taskmaster.
