Jim & Nancy Moir today announce their brand-new live show Chin Wag Chit Chat, bringing their wonderfully offbeat world to theatres this May for a limited run of intimate, unmissable evenings.
Step into the eccentric, creative universe of one of Britain’s most quietly brilliant duos, where conversation meets performance in a show that is entirely their own. Part storytelling, part art, and wholly unpredictable, audiences can expect a joyful journey through birds, painting, television, modelling, and the curious rhythms of life in the 2020s.
Blending candid conversation with visual artistry and surreal humour, Chin Wag Chit Chat offers a rare glimpse into Jim and Nancy’s shared creative life. From Jim’s lifelong passion for ornithology and painting to Nancy’s work across screen and stage, the pair reflect on their careers, collaborations, and the unexpected paths their passions have taken them.
The evening will also feature special support from Rock ‘n’ Roll Birder, with the promise of a suitably surreal finale including some high kicking. Together, Jim & Nancy have carved out a space that is entirely their own where art meets comedy, nature meets performance, and nothing is ever quite what you expect.
Jim said: “We are very happy to present ourselves in your region. Hark at us, we have more yarns than a wool shop.”
Jim Moir is best known for his work as Vic Reeves, one half of one of Britain’s most influential comedy partnerships alongside Bob Mortimer. Together, they created cult classics including Vic Reeves Big Night Out, The Smell of Reeves & Mortimer, and the much-loved panel show Shooting Stars. Beyond comedy, Jim is an acclaimed artist whose distinctive work has been exhibited internationally.
Nancy is an actress, presenter and model. A natural performer through and through, she has even taken to the stage alongside the late, great Jeff Beck and more recently performed with Justin Hawkins a testament to her versatility. Nancy also brings a genuine passion for the natural world, particularly birdwatching. This shines beautifully in the charming factual series Painting Birds with Jim and Nancy, which has firmly cemented her creative partnership with Jim as both authentic and utterly captivating on screen.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday 27th March at 11am.
