Rose Matafeo is set to compete in a second series of Taskmaster. Having appeared in the UK version in 2019, she is now been names as one of the contestants in the New Zealand version.

Beyond The Joke believes that she will be the first contestant to appear in two series when it airs from September 14. New Zealander Urzila Carlson has reportedly filmed two series (Australia and New Zealand) but only one has aired so far. If there are any others do let me know via [email protected]. Comedians who have appeared in Champion of Champions do not count.

Lloyd Langford did the original pre-TV stage version and was also in the Australian version but that doesn't count. And various contestants around the world have also been hosts but that doesn't count either. 

She also hosted Junior Taskmaster alongside Mike Wozniak.

Matafeo is also due to appear on Sky One later this week in the all-star spy spoof comedy New Zealand Spy.

The other contestants in the NZ Taskmaster series fronted by Jeremy Wells are Dave Fane, Morgana O'Reilly, Rhys Mathewson and Hoani Hotene.

Season seven of Taskmaster NZ premieres on TVNZ+ and TVNZ2 on September 14.
