Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jack Dee takes his new show, Jack’s Joke Show on the road.
Who doesn’t like jokes? If your answer to that question is “Me!” then steer well clear of this show. Celebrating 40 years in standup comedy, Jack takes us on a memoir of all his favourite old stories, jokes and funny anecdotes which have intrigued him for as long as he can remember. Some people have a soundtrack to their lives, for Jack it’s the jokes that have formed a narrative of his life.
Jack said: ‘Jack’s Joke Show is a compilation of all my favourite old jokes and where they belong in my life story. It’s proved very popular with audiences in London and Edinburgh and I’m really looking forward to taking it all around the country.’
Firmly established as one of Britain’s biggest and best-loved comedy stars, Jack Dee has captured the imagination of audiences and critics alike with his dry humour and deadpan delivery over the last four decades.
Since 2009 Jack has hosted the BBC Radio 4 ‘antidote to panel games’, I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and regularly tours the country with a stage version to celebrate the programme’s huge success. Recent clips of the show posted on Instagram and other social media outlets have attracted as many as 45 million views worldwide.
Jack is about to launch his new podcast with fellow comedian Seann Walsh and producer Sara Morgan, aptly entitled Another Day Ruined where they prove that a problem shared is often a problem doubled.
Also well-known for co-writing and starring in two of his own sitcoms; four series of Lead Balloon for BBC Two and two series of the hit ITV show Bad Move.
Jack is the author of bestselling autobiography, Thanks for Nothing, and the agony uncle book What Is Your Problem? published in 2021.
Recent TV credits include hosting Help Me Tiny Big Brain (U and U&Dave), LOL Halloween (Amazon), appearing on Taskmaster (C4), World Most Dangerous Roads (U&Dave), Have I Got News for You (BBC One), QI (BBC One), starring as Geoff in three series of the hit BBC series JOSH (BBC Three).
Jack recently recorded his stand-up special Jack Dee’s Small World for Sky at The London Palladium.
