The Phoenix Fringe has announced the line-up for its summer mini-festival. The event takes place at the Phoenix pub in Central London from July 30 to August 8.
Among those confirmed are Nick Helm and Lee Nelson doing new material, work in progress shows from Ardal O’Hanlon, Kerry Godliman, Richard Herring and Shappi Khorsandi, and final Edinburgh previews from the likes of Hal Cruttenden, Andrew Maxwell and more. There’s also character comedy, musical comedy and even comedy all the way from Norway and Australia.
Tickets are £10, or £8 in advance, with a limited amount of £20 tickets to see all three shows in a day.
The ethos of the festival is to provide a friendly, intimate festival where acts can try out new and exciting ideas in front of a crowd who gets to see them up close in a perfect, low ceilinged and air conditioned room. The Phoenix in Cavendish Square hosts regular new material night Old Rope, as well as several other comedy nights and is the ideal central London room to catch great acts live. It was recently mentioned as one of the favourite comedy rooms for comedians to play in The Guardian.
Other acts include Nish Kumar, Tiff Stevenson, Aisling Bea, Phil Nichol, Kerry Godliman, Bec Hill, Cray Cray Cabaret, Tiernan Douieb, Alex Edelman, Tom Ballard, Luisa Omelan, Andrew O’Neill, Zoe Lyons, Jonny & The Baptists, Lady Carol, Elis James, Jarred Christmas, Andy Zaltzman, Tom Craine, Marcel Lucont, Siri Seljeseth.
