Comedy character Lee Nelson has made an unexpected appearance alongside Kanye West at the Glastonbury Festival. The rapper was headlining when Nelson, alias character comedian Simon Brodkin, managed to get onto the stage. He attempted to dance and join West in a vocal duet, but after striding to the front of the performance area with his hands in the air he was quickly bundled off by security guards.
Nelson/Brodkin posted a picture of himself on Twitter at Glastonbury and wrote: "Some people were saying Kanye shouldn't headline Glastonbury so I thought I'd give him a hand". In the photo he was wearing a T-shirt with the slogan "Lee-Zus" on it.
This is not Nelson/Brodkin's first major stunt. Last November he gatecrashed the X Factor stage during a performance by boy band Stereo Kicks. He has previously appeared on the football pitch with the Manchester City team in the warm-up for a game with Everton and almost made it onto the England football team's bus dressed as one of the players before the 2014 World Cup.
