Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer have confirmed the dates for their 25th anniversary Poignant Moments UK Tour.
The opening autumn leg of their tour had to be postponed after Bob Mortimer had to have a triple heart bypass in October.
Earlier this month the duo confirmed that Mortimer had been given the medical all-clear and the winter leg of the tour would go ahead as planned, starting in Leeds on January 30. The duo held a press conference in London today to announce it officially.
Speaking about his recovery at the Soho House Mortimer said: "I've got my cholesterol down from 8.5 to 2.7. I'm basically a chaffinch." Mortimer had had the operation quickly after seeing a doctor about a chest infection. He had his heart checked and it was revealed that his arteries were almost totally blocked. On hearing about his heart operation, Reeves joked that "I started scanning the papers to see if there was anyone else I could do this with." Mortimer says that he is now fine.
Mortimer also revealed that immediately before his triple heart bypass operation he made a will and married his long-term partner Lisa Matthews (although according to Wikipedia they are already married).
Vic and Bob also claimed that they were related via the first man to import mini courgettes.
