The first batch of comedy and cabaret acts for this year's Latitude Festival have been confirmed.
The major headliner is Russell Howard, doing a rare top-of-the-bill show ahead of his next world tour. Two further big comedy names will be announced at a later date but revealed today are lots of other appealing attractions for the comedy and cabaret tents over the long weekend of July 14 - 17 in Henham Park, Suffolk.
The line-up also includes Josh Widdicombe, fresh from his successful UK tour and The Last Leg, Al Murray Pub Landlord venturing into the open air, Paul Merton and Chums doing improvisation, David O'Doherty who was on excellent form last time he played the comedy tent and Sara Pascoe, whose first book is about to be published. Comedian and musician extraordinaire Reggie Watts will be coming over for the Festival. Another interesting booking is American comic Bridget Everett.

Latitude’s Curator of the Arts, Tania Harrison says:
“Latitude has always prided itself on the breadth of our line ups and this year is very exciting. In the Comedy and Cabaret Arenas you’ll find newcomers, rising stars and international acts. We have comedy in all its guises, including the first of our announced headliners; Russell Howard, who we’re delighted is headlining on Friday. Russell is joined on the bill by some of the most brilliant UK and US comics, including Josh Widdicombe, Reggie Watts and Bridget Everett. We’re also presenting some of the most vibrant cabaret, from Duckie and The Glory. There’s a home for every kind of comic and comedy fan at Latitude this year.”
