Nick Helm is due to start filming the third series of sitcom Uncle in which he plays dropout and rock and roll wannabe Andy. The shoot will start in a fortnight and last for eight weeks. Helm tweeted "Best series yet."
He posted the news on Twitter late last night to the delight of fans. He then dropped the bombshell that "I'm afraid none of the original cast are returning. Sorry. Good news/bad news." Although we assume that this is a classic example of Helm's trademark sarcasm. The cast has previously included Elliot Speller-Gillott as Andy's nephew Errol, Daisy Haggard as his sister Sam and Esther Smith as Melodie.
One poster on Twitter called Shazzbakes asked if Haggard would have a bigger part this time round :"I'm hoping Daisy Haggard gets more to do, she's awesome." To which Helm replied: "It's called Uncle. Not Uncle's Sister."
The series is again written by Olive Refson with Helm coming up with the music for it. Helm is currently recording tracks for Uncle with Andrew Jones and Jamie Spencer.
The series will be available on BBC3, hopefully later this year, and then air on terrestrial TV.
