Sara Pascoe has added a string of extra dates to her acclaimed Animal tour. There will now be 21 additional shows, beginning at The North Wall in Lincoln on the 10th March 2017 and concluding at The Old Rep in Birmingham on the 29th April 2017. Pascoe plays the Duchess Theatre in London on April 24.
After publishing her book exploring the evolution of the female body, Sara now considers further issues - will pornography lead to our extinction? Are humans naturally bad? How do we become better? Do we really have to die? and gulp, should she have a baby?
In the show she expounds on sexuality, empathy, art, God and pubic hair. There will also be material about selfies, glow worms and Ru Paul's Drag Race.
Her last show, Sara Pascoe Vs History was nominated for a Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award and was a sell-out across its dates around the UK. In the same year she won the Chortle Breakthrough Award, and in 2015 she was shortlisted for The Times Breakthrough Award at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards.
Pascoe’s first book Animal: The Autobiography of a Female Body was published to huge critical acclaim in 2016. She has also featured as a regular contestant on Dave’s Taskmaster and appeared on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You?, QI, Room 101, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Frankie Boyle’s Election Autopsy, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Drunk History, Would I Lie to You? and 8 out of 10 Cats, and has been seen in shows including BBC’s The Thick Of It, The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, W1A and Twenty Twelve.
