Satire is officially dead. The Simpsons sent up the idea of Donald Trump becoming President of the USA way back in 2000 in an episode entitled Bart To The Future. 

The episode flashes forward fifteen years to show Bart what life will be like in ths future for his family. Bart is a failed musician, but his sister Lisa has just been elected to the White House, taking over from President Trump. It was supposed to be a far-fetched joke at the time...

In October Simpsons creator Matt Groening spoke to the Guardian about the episode: "We predicted that he would be president back in 2000 – but [Trump] was of course the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time, and that’s still true. It’s beyond satire."
