Comedian Katherine Ryan fooled a number of publications with a tweet claiming that she had had a cosmetic surgery procedure known as a Braziliam Bum Lift.

Ryan posted a picture of herself on social media, claiming that she had asked for a Kylie but it had not turned out as she expected. An accompanying picture showed a bruised posterior. It ran as a genuine story in a number of places.

The tweet, however, was later deleted and it was revealed that the stunt was part of the pre-publicity for C4's forthcoming Fake News Show panel game, going out on Monday night at 8pm as part of their Fake News week. Also appearing on the programme are Stephen Mangan, Richard Osman, Richard Ayoade and Jon Richardson.
