Two of his weekend’s major comedy gigs have been eventful and not just for the comedy taking place onstage.
At Jack Whitehall’s First Direct Arena gig in Leeds on Friday night part of the stage set caught fire. The Fresh Meat star attempted to put the small blaze out with a small fire extinguisher but in the end someone else had to come on and ensure that everything was safe and the gig could continue.
After the show Whitehall tweeted: “Wow crazy show in Leeds! My set caught fire. actual fire. Turns out in an emergency situation I'm about as much use as a chocolate teapot.”

Meanwhile Whoopi Goldberg's triumphant first-ever gig in London at the Palladium on Saturday night had just finished when a fight broke out in the auditorium. According to reports on social media someone was suddenly grabbed from behind. The suggestion was that they had been laughing so loud they had been irritating the person behind them.
@dazgale tweeted: "Didn't expect to see a vicious fight at Whoopi. At the end of the show a woman pulled someone from another row over a seat and attacked her."
