Comedian Russell Kane has got into a spat with Rochdale Council over one of his Facebook 'Kaning' rants in which he criticised Rochdale Council's proposed £100 fine for people caught swearing on their streets.
Earlier today Kane tweeted: "Whizzing on a train up to Manchestorrree. Got some spare change, so must stop Off @RochdaleCouncil town hall to shout obscenities. #swearing" Rochdale Council responded to one of Russell's light-hearted tweets on Twitter by pointing out some tourist attractions he could visit if Kane stopped off and also that if he did swear while there "it may constitute a public order offence under existing legislation that could attract the attention of our police officiers. Thanks and best wishes. Rochdale Borough Council."
The comic, who is currently on a UK tour, has yet to respond to Rochdale Council's tweet apart from tweeting their tweet and adding "Lol @MetroUK@MENnewsdesk Rochdale Council hint at police action for me!!"
