London’s weekend comedy festival ARGComFest (Actually Rather Good Comedy Festival) is set to return for its 6th year. The two-day extravaganza will feature 60 comedians performing at Shoreditch Town Hall on July 1 & 2.
The festival is firmly established as the place where the finishing touches are put on soon-to-be award-winning shows heading up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This year’s festival includes plenty of big name TV favourites, including Sara Pascoe, Joe Lycett, Sofie Hagen, Ed Gamble and Ellie Taylor.
Joining the bill fresh off of Radio 4 is masterful satirist Nish Kumar and Newsjack host Angela Barnes - and straight out of the I'm A Celebrity jungle, Joel Dommett. Also joining the excellent programme is Rose Matafeo, nominated for last year's prestigious Barry Award for Best Newcomer at Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Festival Director James Lowey said: “Every comedy connoisseur in the country knows that ARGComFest is the place to see it first: over the last five years, we’ve hosted twenty six shows that went on to be nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards - an average of five every year!"
Both weekend tickets and day tickets for Saturday and Sunday are available now - and cheaper for early birds. More details are available on our website - but more than half of the line-up is still to be announced!
