Comedians Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin have launched a new podcast.
In Babysitting Trevor they take their "lazy, eccentric uncle", fiftysomething Aussie comedian Trevor Crook under their wing to help him fill his empty days. They describe it as "an intervention to give him direction in life... and make themselves laugh in the process."
Donnelly explains: "It’s an odd little idea that escalated when me and Chris befriended Trevor Crook and found him fascinating and funny in equal measure." According to them Trevor mainly sits in his pants watching cricket and occasionally writes provoking comments on websites. They take him to the zoo, introduce him to modern art and go to the gym with him, but can they in anyway make a difference to a man who is so set in his ways he doesn’t even have a mobile phone?
This is their second podcast. The duo already have the Carl Donnelly and Chris Martin podcast where they talk about life on the comedy road and other related and non-related subjects. Listen to that one here.
