British actor/comedian Steve Furst has confirmed that he is still alive.

Following the announcement that American actor Stephen Furst, best known for his roles in Babylon 5, St Elsewhere, Animal House, had died, the similarly named performer posted a message on social media to avoid confusion saying: "Just to clarify this is the American actor with the same name and same spelling. I am awake and happy and healthy."

Steve Furst - who is best known as high-kicking showbiz legend Lenny Beige (pictured) – is performing two special shows as his alter ego at Brasserie Zedel in London on August 3 & 4 when Lenny Beige will be celebrating the work of Neil Diamond.
