Robert Webb will be promoting his forthcoming book How Not To Be A Boy with live appearances later this year.

He will be appearing in various venues from the Edinburgh International Book Festival on August 27 to the South Bank Centre on November 25.

In the book he sets out to "deconstruct masculinity for comic & political effect via my childhood". The book is published on August 29.

His publisher Canongate politely posted the news with the following tweet: "Robert Webb is going on tour to talk about his new book. You should probably go and see him."

To which Webb replied rather less passive aggressively: "Wow. It's like publishing *wants* to die. "you should probably" Fucking pre-order the book & buy some tickets, twats! Do or do not do."
