Comedians Lauren Pattison and Arna Spek have been chosen as winners of the inaugural 99 Club bursary to support female comedians taking their first full length solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe.
The other finalists at the show at the 99 Club in Covent Garden were Maria Shehata, Evelyn Mok and Athena Kugenblu.
Pattison and Spek will both receive £500. The judges and organisers decided that the standard was so high that as well as handing out two full bursaries all the other acts will receive a prize of £100 each.
