Comedian/actor/musician Phil Nichol has landed a role in a new musical coming to London's West End.

Nichol will play Hugo (aka Loco Chanel), a retired drag queen, in Everybody's Talking About Jamie, which runs at the Apollo Theatre from November 6.

The musical features new songs by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling Dan Gillespie Sells and writer Tom MacRae. The cast also features Josie Walker, Mina Anwar, Tamsin Carroll and Daniel Anthony, Luke Baker, Courtney Bowman, James Gillian, Harriet Payne, Shiv Rabheru, Lucie Shorthouse and Kirstie Skivington.

Writing on his Facebook page, Nichol said: "Art imitating life, if ever it were. Ha!"
