Comedian/broadcaster John Oliver is one the stars of the forthcoming live action remake of The Lion King.

The host of satirical show Last Week Tonight will play the hornbill Zazu. Rowan Atkinson voiced Zazu in the animated version.

The Disney film, to be directed by Jon Favreau, will also star Beyonce, Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, Chiwetal Eijofor and Seth Rogen.

Oliver confirmed the news on Twitter, posting: "Beyonce and I have an announcement to make..." alongside a poster with pictures of the A list cast on it.
